Ning Yi Zhuo (Chinese: 宁艺卓), also known by her stage name Ningning (Hangul: 닝닝), is a Chinese member and Main Vocalist of the South Korean girl group aespa.
Early life
Ning, Yi Zhuo grew up in Harbin (Heilongjiang), China. Heilongjiang borders Russia in China’s north-east. She is the sole child of her Architect Father and Musician Mother. Ningning sings since the age 5 years. She’s a gifted and passionate vocalist with an incredible range.
Career
Pre-debut: S.M. Rookies
Ningning Sings since the Age of 5 She’s participated in many singing programmes in China including China’s Got Talent Season 2 in Mar 2011, China’s New Sound Generation in Jul 2015, Let’s Sing Kids Season 3 as well as the Harbin Silver Valley Fuxing Concert in which she sang “Rolling in Deep by Adele” on October 10,2015. Ningning received a call from SM Entertainment following a review of her 2016 performance. S.M. On 19 September 2016, Ningning was presented as a new member. S.M. Entertainment. As part, she participated in the Rookies Princess – Who’s the Best episode. The segment My SMT was aired in 2016 and she also performed several covers in 2017 for Shining Star.
2020: aespa debut
Ningning revealed herself as a part of the Aespa team on October 28,2020, at a Press Conference. S.M. made Ningning official the next day. Entertainment has announced that Ningning is the third member, and vocalist main of aespa.
